About Simply Sensory

Hello and Welcome,

My name is Kerry and I am currently training to become an Occupational Therapist with a passion for paediatrics!

My passion for working with children started when working on a summer camp in Massachusetts, USA, in 2019. When working on camp my role was to support children who were part of the 'ninja camp' which included lots of ninja like games using inflatables, shaving foam, camouflage, and lots and lots of water. 

This sparked my interest in the correlation of children and play, in particular how play enables child development. 

As a child one of your main occupations are to play and in doing so, this allows you to explore and learn about the environment and the world around us. It allows us to be able to use our senses and develop the necessary skills we need to be able to participate in this wonderful thing we call life. 

I started Simply Sensory with the goal of creating fun and educational sensory boxes that children will love whilst also supporting development through the use of our senses. 

These boxes have been specially created to be used by any caregiver and their child and are transferable to any environment. The toys included in these boxes have be specifically chosen to promote particular areas of children's development according to their age. 

Each sensory box comes with a QR code which links to a 'a guide to play & information guide' to provide insight into how each toy promotes development as well as recommended games in which the toys can be used and how each game further enhances development. Each box will also come with a optional reflective journal, so you can document your little ones development journey along the way.

We believe that playtime should be both enjoyable and enriching, which is why we put so much effort into designing our products.
